Happy Thursday everyone! I'm working on my flower containers and will be sharing some helpful tips very soon, plus an indispensable list of suggested plants for summer containers that makes shopping for flowers easy! I'm actually a little late this season but it's coming. This is purple Verbena and it's one of my favorites. I'm not a master gardener, but I can do garden containers! A lush container that is sure to dazzle is as simple as thriller, filler, and spiller! More on this coming soon.
Not all containers need multiple plants to be spectacular, however. Another one of my favorite flowers for a shade planter is Begonia, and I love it planted alone, or as part of the three-ingredient recipe -- thriller, filler, and spiller.
Isn't this planter stunning with orange begonia as a thriller, variegated licorice as a filler, and creeping jenny as a spiller?
For a part-sun planter, this grouping of geranium as the thriller, lobelia as the filler, and bacopa as the spiller, works well together.
I'm getting excited to finish up my containers! Do you have your containers planted?
