Mini Heart Pizzas - Fun For Valentine's!

Fun, fun, fun! Mini Heart Pizzas!

One of our favorite Friday night party foods when our grandchildren come over is pizza. Something really fun that we do at our home is let everyone make their own individual mini pizzas. For Valentine's -- they're heart shaped!

It's quick and easy when you use Rhodes Dinner Rolls!

Simply set two or three rolls per person on a cookie sheet and allow them to rest 10-15 minutes to soften - it doesn't take long. Using a rolling pin, have everyone roll out their own pizza crust on a floured surface, turning the dough over two or three times and rolling until it's flattened. For Valentine's use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cutout a mini heart-shaped pizza. They are so cute!

Top with pizza sauce - I use Ragu Pizza Sauce - and top with your favorite pizza toppings. Some of the toppings we love are cheese, mini pepperoni (Turkey pepperoni is delicious and the kids can't tell the difference), ham, pineapple, olives, tomatoes, green peppers, banana peppers, etc.  I put out bowls filled with a great selection of toppings and let everyone have fun creating their own concoction. My personal favorite is BBQ sauce, diced red onions, and shredded chicken or ham.

Bake on a cookie sheet in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 10 -12 minutes.

To keep the pizzas straight, have everyone place their pizza on a cookie sheet and remember to take the pizzas out of the oven in the same direction you put them into the oven. My grandchildren like to monogram their pizzas with their initial. After all, everyone wants the pizza they made! They are delicious and adults will love them, too! We've made these at parties with adults and everyone thought it was a fun and tasty idea!

Serve with a salad, or they make delicious appetizers, too!

This is a fun way to add a special touch to dinner for Valentine's!

Have fun!
