New on the mantel - this iron heart is perfect with my wooden tray.
We're use to seeing trays decorating tables, counters, and vanities, but why not showcase a unique tray by hanging it on a wall or putting it on a mantel!
This tray was made in Provence, France from reclaimed wood. I purchased it at Maison en Provence, an authentic French boutique in San Diego. I love finding out-of-the-way boutiques to shop every chance I get to travel (and, I have a fetish for everything Provence) so when I found this boutique on a trip to San Diego, I was thrilled to go visit.
The tray fit perfectly inside an empty frame I transformed and I thought it would look great displayed on my mantel. I secured the tray to the frame with a little wire.
If you're in San Diego, Maison en Provence is a great little boutique to visit. They carry an array of imported items from France and it's such a fun little shop. They also have a great blog to follow at http://maisonenprovence.skynetblogs.be/. Here are a few photos I took of the boutique.
Coming up soon I'll be sharing these cute little chocolate heart accents so be sure to come back for a visit.
